Testimonials
“Rick’s House of Hope is something about death and divorce. It might make you cry sometimes, but not all the time. It is a nice place. I hope you would like it. It means everything to me. I like the teachers and the helpers. Rick’s House of Hope Rules. Just enjoy it and you will get along. They are nice people. They will not bite. Trust me.” – Bailey, age 9
“I felt really sad, mad and empty inside. My heart was half happy because my dad was good in heaven and sad because he was gone. My stomach was empty without my dad. Since coming to Rick’s House of Hope my heart is full of happiness and my stomach is full of good things.” – Jessica, age 9
“You have all become very important to us in a very short time. We both look forward to coming here on Thursdays. Thank you for all you do to help in very stressful times. We will keep you all in our prayers.” – Alex’s mom
“It has been a place to go in the midst of a storm. After my wife passed away I wanted to do something, anything, to help my children…I’ve always been a ‘take it on the chin and move on’ type, but this time it was more than I could shoulder. The kids deserved something to help them cope. Both kids were talking more about how they feel and now speak freely of what happened and know it’s ok to be happy, sad, mad, glad. They own their own feelings. I am very pleased.” – Kyle and Keri’s dad
“Rick’s House of Hope has been a blessing to my son and myself. It has been difficult to sometimes discuss things and know if things really are okay. It has really helped my son to know he is not alone in his grief and it has been a safe place for him to share his feelings with others who feel as he does. In these horrid times of pain and grief this place has been a comfort. I think in these hard times it is wonderful and a true blessing to find people like this to have the concern to help our children. Thank you to all!” – Anonymous
